Description

Chemin 28 is a 48-hour immersive experience for conscious leadership. Organized in Belgium in an eco-place, the event is dedicated for a hundred managers of small, medium and large companies. Over two days and two nights in lush nature, Chemin 28 offers a series of workshops (mindfulness / interactions with nature / artistic expressions), inspiring conferences and co-development sessions.

The 2024 edition of Chemin 28, at the Domaine de Graux (20 km from Lille) brought together speakers such as Jean-GĂ©rard Bloch, Benoit Greindl, Eric Harpe, Matthieu Leclercq, Thomas Legrand, Marina Lhomme, Andres Roberts, Anne-Catherine Trinon, …

Chemin 28 is organized by the non-profit organization Entrepreneurship & Transition (E&T), based on Theory U and the Inner Development Goals framework. The number 28 refers to the predictions of the Belgian economist, Bruno Colmant, who has identified 2028 as the year of convergence of multiple crises (climatic, financial, health, …). E&T has therefore decided to organize Chemin 28 for 5 years – from 2023 to 2028, with the ambition of making business leaders more resilient and their organizations more robust, before the 28 deadline. This is how the Chemin 28 logo integrates 5 curved lines, in line with the 5 axes of the Inner Development Goals.

E&T has also launched Key 28, an intra-organizational support formula, developed on the same fundamentals as Chemin 28. Key 28 supports companies in their inner transition. Chemin 28 and Key 28 participants have the opportunity to meet within Hub 28 (IDG Wallonia 28 Hub – Belgium), to develop their good practices and integrate Inner Development Goals into their professional practices.

Learnings

In two editions (2023 + 2024), Chemin 28 has had the opportunity to support nearly 150 different business leaders in their conscious leadership! We are convinced that there is still much to be done to help leaders in their path of mindfulness and connection with nature and that Chemin 28 and Key 28 are appropriate formats to meet the needs of companies.

However, we observe that there is still a great deal of reluctance among leaders towards interiority. The belief of a large majority is, in particular, that mindfulness risks adding a lot of pressure to them, while they are already sufficiently oppressed by the complexity of today’s world. In this regard, the Inner Development Goals are of great help in giving credibility to the approach to innership to understand it better. In particular, we wish to further integrate the artistic dimension into Chemin 28, in order to strengthen its accessibility and appeal.
