Power with Me, Power with You, Power with All: From Inner to Collective Power for Sustainable Impact

The IDG Hub Amsterdam is hosting a workshop series to explore the dimensions of power. Here we explore inner, interpersonal, and collective power and how to harness each to create meaningful and sustainable impact. We designed a three part workshop series to take place from September 2024 to February 2025.

During the first session we discovered the essence of self-awareness and inner power. We explored how to identify and mobilize your internal resources to drive external change. We discussed how to nurture your inner power, understand what generates it, and recognise factors that lead to feeling powerless.

In the second session, we will delve into the dynamics of power in relationships. Explore how to move beyond “power over” to “power with,” fostering collaboration with an equal mindset. Respecting each other fully, we’ll uncover the potential and resources that both you and others bring to the table.

In the third session we will then embrace the power of togetherness. Learn how communities can distribute power effectively and harness the collective capacities and potential of all members. This session focuses on generating sustainable impact through shared power, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and included.

During all 3 workshops we will discover the IDG framework and how it connects to the workshop topics. The workshops are also an opportunity to network and engage with a vibrant group of professionals committed to transforming self and society through their understanding and use of power.

Learnings

We have so far completed part 1 of the 3 part workshop series and 2 workshops are still to come. We’ve already gained a deeper understanding of the IDG framework and explored how its dimensions and skills can help us connect with and engage more meaningfully with a theme or topic. Along the way, we’ve also discovered just how personal this journey is for each of us—yet, despite our unique experiences, we find ourselves sharing so many common threads and themes.
